Tesla air suspension repair in Surrey
If your Tesla drops overnight or sits lower on one side, the air suspension probably has a leak. We find the source, and where the strut allows, refurbish it instead of replacing it.

Signs of an air suspension fault
- the car drops overnight, or after standing for a while
- one corner sits lower than the others
- an air suspension warning on the screen
- the compressor running more often or for longer than usual
- the car sitting fully on its bump stops
Do not leave a leak
A leaking air strut makes the compressor work harder to keep the car level. Left long enough, it can wear out the compressor and other parts, turning a fairly straightforward repair into a more expensive one.
Diagnosis first
A dropped car does not always mean a failed strut, valve block or compressor. One Model X arrived fully dropped, after other garages, including Tesla, had quoted a new valve block and compressor. Our diagnosis found a wiring loom rubbed through against a coolant hose, and the car was back on the road in a few hours.
Air strut refurbishment
Where the condition of the strut allows, we refurbish it: we replace the failed sealing components and restore its ability to hold pressure. This can be a much more cost-effective alternative to a complete new unit, and it keeps the original Tesla strut on the car.
- Model X Raven: the shock absorber inside a heavily leaking strut was healthy, so we refurbished the original strut instead of fitting a new or aftermarket one.
- Front air struts: a leaking front strut is one of the most common faults on the Model X and Model S. Here is how we recondition them.
- Rear air struts: we combine a rear strut refurbishment with a full suspension check, as worn bushes and links often show up at the same time.
